Why does meat (beef) turn dark after freezing it?

I work at a meat plant. We have a customer complaining about their steaks not being red after they thaw them out. I have tried about everything I can thin of to fix the problem. The steaks are vaccuum sealed then frozen. When packaged they are red as can be. After frozen they have a dark color. Can someone give me some insight, please.

My mom and dad suffer from high blood pressure,high cholesterol. It run on both sides of the family,that along with diabetes and heart disease. My mom started taking blood pressure medication young,in her later 20's. My dad suffered from a stroke due to high blood pressure. Ok so whats up skaters this is really bugging me while i was skating with one of my freinds he hit a car with his griptape it rippped a little paint in it and put some dents in it. I’m in a committed long distance relationship for 3 years with an amazing man. We’ve talked about getting engaged and I’m very excited over the prospect of being able to call him my husband. He makes me so happy and inspires me to be a better person. We are eager to please each other in the bedroom. He tells me I please him (as I make a great effort to do so) but there are certain factors with him that make it difficult for him to please me despite my openness and comfort in telling him how to do so—I meander on the line of not wanting to hurt his feelings so I choose my words. For instance, he has bad allergies that cause him to be permanently congested with post nasal drip. So he is constantly coughing to clear phlegm from his throat, burps, and has permanent bad breath (from the post nasal drip) all during lovemaking. I tell him to go to the doctors because I think this is a serious medical condition, if not allergies, something else. I am worried about him. I even offered to take off work and drive 3 hours to his place to go with him. But he refuses to go. He also cannot see very well and wears bifocals but when he takes his gles off he cannot see or sense what he is doing. For instance, when going down on me, I tell him how I like him to please me but he still hasn’t quite figured it out and it’s been 2 years we’ve been doing it. I tried reading books thinking books would have a better way of explaining how to please a woman and suggested we look at books together but he looked at me like I was nuts. I want to encourage him more so these changes can be made because these things are really turning me off in the bedroom and lessening my urges to want to make love to him. It is not fair because I love him and want things to improve. I talk to him about wearing cologne, chewing gum, or eating a mint all while lovemaking but he doesn’t do it. I can wear a white t-shirt around the house, but I am not allowed to wear anything at all from the waist down, so that I won't get skid-marks in my briefs. This means that anyone who is visiting can always see my privates in front and my bare behind, which is humiliating, especially when I get a ***** and they can all see it sticking out.

Actually every country has a little of these problems but some have always had them to the highest degree and will always have them. I have certain countries in mind but won't mention them to avoid conflict. But do you believe it's time for the nations that have shown stability, justice, impartialness and equality to step in and forcefully take over those nations and implement the infrastructure and systems that do not allow those third world activities to flourish.....Maybe we should let those struggling countries peoples vote if they would like to have their current governments overthrown by a collective and global united force and have a unilateral global government implemented that will rule with a heavy fist. i.e. corrupt official will be put on trial by their peers(countryman) and if found guilty they will be given life imprisonment and same for drug dealers and terrorists.

I went to a pet store and noticed that the animals were starving and some were dead in their cages, and I took pictures of this. My computer is all messed up?

My desktop won't load on windows xp but I know I have to type explorer.exe into processes. The problem is, I can't open the task manager because of a virus that says the admin has restricted use of task manager. Basicaly thekids in my cl are totaly clueless! I take notes all through out cl on their technique (what I have told them to correct/ what they are doing better) behavior/ attitude. Then I have those notes with me when I test them. I test EVERYONE every 3-6 months. I simply don't p those who aren't ready and either refund their money or their next test is free, but I get a good idea of where the cl is when I have everyone doing their absolute best all together. But I don't just judge on preformance that day- if you try hard in cl, have all your stripes (little checks on kata, kihon, kumite) and just got nervous made small mistakes- if i think they are ready I will p them. But also if I think behavior is under par, they have bad ettiquite during testing then no matter how good they do they don't move up and I tell them their attitude is what is keeping them down. Latly I have all kinds of parents pissed at why cindy passed but little tommy didn't. (normaly i give an explanation way over their heads and when they are staring blankly i walk away) How do you judge kyu tests (and not piss of parents)?

MOMS!!!! HELP!!!!! 4 month old still not sleeping!!!?

Ok, I have posted on here before about this, but I'm hoping maybe I'll get something new. My 4 month old daughter hasn't slept through the night since the stupid time change. It started off as her just waking up at 4:30 wanting to play. She has a very set routine. She eats dinner at 6, gets a bath at about 7, gets snuggled down at 8, and then gets her last bottle at 9. Well now, instead of just waking up at 4:30 ( that I can handle) now, she wakes up at midnight, fussing for her pacifier, then again at 12:30, then again at 2. Sometimes again in that hour, and so on and so forth until about 4:30, 5ish, when she finally conks out until 8. I am so tired. I don't know what to do. And last night, she woke up at midnight, and the only way I could get her to go back to sleep was to pick her up and rock her back to sleep...which I love, but at midnight....I'm tired. Then I had to fool her to put her back to sleep. It is getting so hard on me and her Daddy. Any suggestions? Heck, any Mom's out there right now who are just knowing what I am going through and are going through the same thing? I love my princess more than life it's self...but Mommy needs her sleep.

Nesting zebra finches?

I have a pair of nesting zebra finches. The hen laid 5 eggs in 5 consecutive days...23th,24,25,26,27th. She's been sitting on the eggs most of the time and the male is giving her breaks now and then. Today is the 6th and the eggs haven't hatched yet should I wait a little? Also, I'm not sure if the eggs are fertile or not, cause besides seeing the birds fixing the nest together 2 days prior the laying of the first egg, I did not see them mating since I don't spend much time watching them. I've also noticed twice the male a little agitated in these past 2 days. when I try to add food or water. He tens to start pulling the nesting material, once he was trying unsuccessfully to cover the eggs and the second time he was pulling it and playing with it outside the nest until she goes back in the nest and takes over. How do I add custom options to my yahoo store front products so customers can only select one a purchase?

I'm trying to add products to my yahoo storefront and am having a little trouble when it comes to setting up custom options. Our sleeping bags can have custom interiors but they can only pick one option. There are three drop boxes (Fleece, Flannel, and Minky), is there a way to set it up that when one option is selected, the other two default to a "No, thank you" option? You might have a VGA 15 pin port on your TV and your PC. That is the best way to connect it because it is straight forward. You just plug it in. There are a few bad things about this though. The first one is that if your TV or your computer does not have this port then it won't work. The other thing is that it doesn’t transfer sound so if you want to watch a DVD on your computer but you also want to watch it on your TV you have to use the built in speaker or you have to connect speakers or where headphones. Another thing is (this is specific to watching movies on your computer) that watching movies on your computer drains battery really fast because your computer constantly has to power the optical drive. When burning files to a CD from your computer it just powers it while it is doing that.

Why should we be ok with teen pregnancy?

you are totally right. I work with pregnant teens all the time at a shelter and a lot of the girls end up having to stay at the shelter longer after they have their babies because they don't have the money to live on their own. teens just don't get it. with their not yet high school diploma's in their pockets how can they get a decent job to support themselves. some do really well because they have a support system who is financially capable to help them but the ones who aren't end up taking money from the state they live in. I think they need to be more aware of what it's really like it's not about being a parent at a young age it's about the after effects and who really has to deal with it.

Okay I'm 15 and 16 early next year, I'm currently an English student in a non-sixth form school in the UK. Swollen throat and trouble swallowing food.?

Starting about a month ago I started taking these homeopathic supplements potium phosphate, and magnesium phosphate, and sodium sulfate. After about a week or two of taking the supplements I noticed my lymph node in the right side of my neck swelling up and very painful. I did blood work, and everything came back normal. I kept taking the supplements not thinking it would do anything to do. The more and more I took, the worst the pain got. So I stopped. After stopping, the pain has gone away and the swelling reduced a lot, but I'm having trouble swallowing food, and I feel like my throat is a swollen. I feel like food is getting stuck. I went to ER, took more blood work for EBV, CBC, a bunch of them everything came back normal again. I took a cat scan of my neck and lungs, everything came back normal as well. I want to see how to get rid of this swelling. Doctor wants me to do a Endoscopy tomorrow, but another doctor says a Cortisone injection will do the trick.

Was my eating/exercise alright for today?

Well, the sub was 750 calories (just looked it up) For two 6 inches. Then the pork chop dinner was around 400 calories. 3 kisses is only like 150 calories. So that's 1300 calories. Then, if you dance for 3 and a halg hours that burns about 500 calories. So since you're body naturally burn 1800 calories a day that means that you burned 1000 calories today. You should try to only burn 500 a day. That's the way to stay healthy. How about instead of eating such a unhealthy sandwich (I thought it was healthy too, but then I discovered it is the sugariest sandwich in america- gross!) How about you wake up, grab an apple and a granola bar, then have a subway sub for lunch- but have a trkey or veggy. It is much healthier. Then, don't have the chocolate. Just resist. Good luck!

my father has swelling in the arms, legs, hands, fingers, toes ect... It is very painfull and jumps around. One day it will be in his arm the next his other arm or leg ect... He has been told it was arrthitis then gout and the doctors have been going back and forth. he has been to the emergcy room abot 3 times with no luck.

Unfortunately you can't get help without your parents, but you can talk to a counselor at school..The counselor can recommend you need to seek professional help..Parents sometimes forget what it's like to be a teenager and maybe they didn't have all the anxiety you have , so they don't think it's anything but teen hormones..Don't give up seeking help. If talking to the counselor doesn't work then I suggest you call 911 and tell them you don't want to live anymore..that will definitely get your parents attention..Please don't harm yourself..Life is such a blessing and Your needed here on earth..Good Luck to you.

This is what I am wondering. My grandfather was an unidentical twin. His twin brother never had any children and the only grandchildren he had were me and my cousin. Acura Integra was my first car! It was very good to me! My choice would be that or the 97 Prelude! Good choice in body style! Those are the best if something goes wrong and they are super reliable. Too many snails in my aquarium!! help?

My best suggestion would be to get a small family of clown loaches. They LOVE the little snail guys and will rid your tank of them 100%. I know this because I have 4 Clown Loaches and I collect all the snails from another tank by putting out a piece of lettuce in the tank. A bunch of snails will hop on, then transfer the lettuce to the loach tank and they would be so happy to eat them all up. The loach however does not have a big enough mouth to eat your apple snails, so you can rest ured they will be safe. Clown loaches are specially equipped to deal with your snail problem. Using the lettuce might help if you wanna just get them out a dozen or so at a time, then release to local pond.

2004 Acura RSX blower motor inop?

Blower motor doesn't work at any speed. Checked voltage at blower motor with a test light (Not a DVOM, didn't have one on hand) light illuminated. Ground is ok. checked with known good blower motor out of the housing, when you turn the switch on the motor moves about an 1/8 inch and stops. I figure it's the resistor pack. I haven't personally diagnosed it it for a friend out of state. just wanted to make sure that the resisitor packs are as common on acura's as they are for Dodge. no control head issues?
