Converting a best friend of mine?

Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.I suppose you can recite verses from the bible to him and if its Gods will for him to be "converted" as you say . God Himself will apply that word to this mans heart so that he will see the truth. but ultimately its Gods doing .never ours .if you keep that in mind ,you'll be on safe ground.
