Would someone please help me with guy trouble?

Okay.. So. I like this guy, alot. And we talk every night. But there are some nights that we dont really talk at all. And I feel like I shouldnt text him first but I get crazy impatient. And I feel that if I do then he doesnt want to talk to me because he hasnt texted me first. By the way im pretty sure he likes me, ttt to the point, should I wait for him to text me first, or should I just do it? What if he doesnt text me at all for the night? Ahhh help!
