What is going on with the post?

The strike action is patchy. Here in Surrey we have had a normal service throughout. I am sorry you are being inconvenienced by a dispute which is obviously not your fault. However, I believe this strike action is very justified. Successive governments have reduced the role of post offices, privatised various profitable parts of it and then try to reduce services more when it loses money. I'm not anti privatisation in general but feel the Post Office has and will work best as a state run monopoly
