Nesting zebra finches?

I have a pair of nesting zebra finches. The hen laid 5 eggs in 5 consecutive days...23th,24,25,26,27th. She's been sitting on the eggs most of the time and the male is giving her breaks now and then. Today is the 6th and the eggs haven't hatched yet should I wait a little? Also, I'm not sure if the eggs are fertile or not, cause besides seeing the birds fixing the nest together 2 days prior the laying of the first egg, I did not see them mating since I don't spend much time watching them. I've also noticed twice the male a little agitated in these past 2 days. when I try to add food or water. He tens to start pulling the nesting material, once he was trying unsuccessfully to cover the eggs and the second time he was pulling it and playing with it outside the nest until she goes back in the nest and takes over. Is this a normal behavior?
