Can someone help me find good sewing machine reviews?

I am planning to make a major investment in a new sewing machine. I will be sewing a variety of things from garment construction to quilting. I can't spend thousands of dollars but would like the best for my money. I've looked online but the reviews I've been able to find aren't really satisfactory. Can anyone help? Your own experience with different machines will be much appreciated.
